Mark Camilleri
Special Advisor – European Union – Business Council of Canada
Based in Brussels, Mark provides advice to the Council on European activities and issues of relevance to Canadian companies.
Mark is a lawyer with over 20 years of corporate, commercial and regulatory law experience in the European Union, Canada and the United Kingdom. He is the founder and principal of Camilleri Law, a Brussels-based EU regulatory law firm. He is also the co-founder and President of the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association in Brussels, a not-for-profit organization aimed at advancing the Canada-EU economic and trade relationship.
He is a full member of the Brussels (Belgium/EU), Ontario (Canada) and England (United Kingdom) bars. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. From 2017-2022 he taught at the Faculty of Law at KU Leuven.
Mark holds an LL.M. in EU law from KU Leuven, an LL.B./MBA from Dalhousie University and a B.A. in international relations from the University of Toronto.
