Following the conclusion of the first meeting of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) Free Trade Commission, Business Roundtable, the Business Council of Canada and the Mexican Business Council released the statement below:

“As business leaders in the United States, Mexico and Canada, we welcome the inaugural meeting of the USMCA Free Trade Commission and the close cooperation between the three governments. We are encouraged by their efforts this week to ensure full implementation of all USMCA commitments. It will help sustain broad support for the agreement. By working together, all three countries can better recover from COVID-19, strengthen supply chains, address climate change and advance North American competitiveness, which will support a strong economic recovery and support workers and families in all three countries.

“We are committed to working with our governments to achieve results that advance the trilateral partnership and to fully realize the benefits of USMCA and North American cooperation.”
