The Business Council of Canada (BCC) is pleased to announce that Heather Scoffield is joining its executive team as Senior Vice President, Strategy. In her new role, Heather will help the BCC define, pursue, and achieve its strategic priorities and objectives as it works to build a better future for all Canadians.

Heather joins the BCC after an extensive and distinguished career in journalism, most recently as Ottawa bureau chief and economics columnist for The Toronto Star. She was previously Ottawa bureau chief for The Canadian Press and prior to that spent 12 years with The Globe and Mail. She has covered a wide range of issues including fiscal, monetary and social policy, trade, Indigenous affairs, environment and energy.
