There’s an urgency to have a growth agenda

by Robert Asselin – Senior Vice President, Policy, Business Council of Canada

With November 30th announced by Deputy Prime Minister Freeland as the date for the Fall Economic Statement and as Covid positive cases are increasing across the country, Robert Asselin shared with The Globe and Mail what Canadians can expect to see. He emphasized that while it’s important to stay focused on the pandemic and providing support for hard-hit sectors, it does not preclude work on a growth agenda as we have seen in other countries.

"Most countries are doing it. They’re not waiting for the pandemic to end." @RAsselin66 shares with @GlobeAndMail's @CurryB and @MariekeWalsh why it's important for the federal government to signal a growth agenda in the #FallEconomicStatement. #cdnpoli
