Statement welcoming the Prime Minister’s announcement that wage subsidies will be available to employers of all sizes

We welcome today’s announcement that the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy will be available to employers of all sizes that have experienced a decline in revenues. The wage subsidy will help to prevent further layoffs, conserving as many jobs as possible through the COVID-19 pandemic. Combined with the Canada Emergency Response Benefit, these measures provide much-needed relief to employers and employees.
