Mission from MaRS update
Sustainable business is good business. And while we’re moving at pace on our own journey and supporting our clients’ journeys to net zero, we’re also seeking out and scaling up climate solutions that can create real-world impact. Through HSBC’s global $100m Climate Solutions Partnership, we’ve partnered with MaRS Discovery District – North America’s largest innovation hub – to accelerate 10 Canadian clean tech ventures as part of the Mission from MaRS: Climate Impact Challenge.
I’m excited to see the progress of each venture after they’ve been paired with a curated team of potential end customers, industry suppliers, strategic investors, regulators and policymakers to remove barriers to scale and promote the widespread adoption of their technologies.
Together, we can build a better, more sustainable future by helping Canada live up to its ambition to make clean tech one of the top five exporting industries by 2025.
Congratulations to: Carbon Engineering, Extract Energy, Opus One Solutions, StormFisher, BrainBox AI, Peak Power, Stash Energy, Effenco, Flash Forest and Pantonium.
