Marking a milestone
In a LinkedIn post, Sabrina Geremia celebrates the addition of Inuktut, a language spoken by 39,000 Inuit, as the first Canadian Indigenous language to be included on Google Translate, noting the role technology can play in preserving Indigenous languages and empowering communities.
“This marks the first Canadian Indigenous language on the platform and represents a significant milestone in our mission to make information universally accessible and useful.”
