Michael McCain believes it is possible through science and better agricultural practices to fix problems that exist in the meat industry. He shares his perspective in an interview on CBC Radio’s The Current with Matt Galloway on Maple Leaf Food’s journey of tackling food insecurity and achieving carbon neutrality.

“Its better for us to concentrate on fixes we can control, like regenerative agriculture, like anaerobic digestion, like electrification of a distribution fleet and things of that nature. Those things are possible and they would be more practical and deliverable than asking consumers to change in a way that they don’t want to.”
