Robert Asselin commends the government’s efforts to advance Canadian competitiveness but believes it needs to act with more ambition and urgency on measures to boost economic growth and fiscal prudence. His perspective was featured in several news stories about the Fall Economic Statement.

“At least they understand the magnitude of the problem and, to their credit, they say it was a first step. They will come back with more. But in itself, I don’t think these measures will bring us where we need to be on competitiveness.”
