Approaching critical mineral development with urgency

Heather Exner-Pirot discusses the importance of accelerating regulatory and permitting approvals to enable the production of critical minerals and the development of energy projects. Her memo and perspective were featured in an interview with Politico Playbook at the Wilson Center’s two-day symposium on critical minerals in the North American Arctic.

“I still don’t think there’s the bureaucratic — competence, or capacity, maybe — on the Canadian side to approach this with urgency or with pace, like I’m seeing on the American side.”
