Advocating for healthy communities and sustainability have always been top priorities for Business Council members. Produced in close collaboration with our members, policymakers and stakeholders, Clean Growth reports provide deep analysis and practical recommendations to help governments and businesses work together on climate solutions.
Published in 2007, the first report called for a coherent national environmental plan and positioned the Business Council as the first business organization in the country to advocate for a price on carbon. This was followed by Clean Growth 2.0 in 2010 that outlined how Canada could be a global leader in energy and environmental innovation. The most recent report, Clean Growth 3.0, focuses on the importance of partnership between the private and public sectors to help Canada reach its climate targets and the ultimate goal of net-zero by 2050.
