New mechanisms to expedite and facilitate critical mineral projects
Goldy Hyder welcomes the government’s efforts to recognize the importance of critical minerals to Canada’s economy but urges the government to be clearer in its executions towards expediting projects. His statement was mentioned in several news articles about the release of the Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy.
“Other countries … are moving far more quickly and have already secured significant positions in international supply chains.”
“We … applaud (the) government for acknowledging the need for new mechanisms to expedite and facilitate strategic critical mineral projects from investment and funding opportunities, through regulatory approvals and development, to production.”
“What concerns us is the lack of clarity in terms of defining what those mechanisms will be or when they will be put in place and yield results.”
